What is Exenatide?
exenatide is a synthetic product of the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogue exendin-4, consisting of 39 amino acids [1]. The Asn residues in the structure are prone to deamidation to form Asp at high pH and high temperature. His and Trp residues are easy to oxidize. The peptide bond formed by Asp is more easily hydrolyzed and broken than other peptide bonds. Except G1y, all other amino acid residues were easy to racemize under the catalysis of base. Under alkaline conditions, Thr residues can be degraded by β elimination. In addition, temperature and metal ions also have an effect on β elimination
Function
