Scientific basis of NMN
Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN), also known as Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, is a naturally
occurring substance in the human body. At the molecular level, it is a ribonucleotide, the basic
building block of the genetic material RNA; Structurally, it is composed of Nicotinamide groups,
ribose and phosphate groups (Figure 1), and NMN is transformed into NAD+ (Nicotinamide
Adenine Dinucleotide) in the cell to function. NAD+ is an indispensable coenzyme in cells and
is involved in more than 500 biochemical reactions, especially in energy metabolism and cell
health maintenance. With the increase of age, the level of NAD+ in the human body will gradually
decline, and this decline is closely related to the occurrence and development of a variety of age-related
diseases. Supplementing NMN can effectively increase the level of NAD+ in the body, thereby
